Sing the title in your favorite hormone monster's voice. If you get the reference; Cotos!
When we start training we may get impatient with when we will get those darn results we are working hard on.
Below I hope to clear up some of those questions you may be having.
A good rule of thumb I tell all my clients or people in passing is that 3 months is the sweet spot to start seeing some good results. The less training experience you have the more results you have to reap! So, beginners, it is a no-brainer to hop on a good program for at least 12 weeks to get you started with good habits from the beginning.
As you start your training - you may notice yourself getting stronger. Week 1-8 are primarily attributed to neurological adaptations to your exercise. You are building a stronger muscle-mind connection and your body is becoming more efficient. The timing and form of your exercise execution are becoming more automatic.
From Weeks 8-16 and onward the more physical adaptations of muscle growth truly start to occur. Note that you can have some muscle growth before this time period. Just matters how physically fit you were when you started. Someone who has never worked out and is obese will gain muscle faster than an individual who has been lifting for years and is already close to their potential.
Hope this clears up some of the things you'll be experiencing throughout your journey.
